Our Signet team works hard every day to create meaningful brand experiences for our clients, employees, and the community. Most importantly, we do it all because we are committed to providing the best promotional products and customer service. However, when our hard work is noticed and awarded, we can’t help but blush. Here is a summary of the awards and recognition Signet received during 2018.

Elizabeth, chairman and CEO, and David Tate, President, were inducted into U of M’s Fogelman Hall of Fame. Similarly, they were both named Distinguished Friends of the College this year. Signet sponsors the Promotional Products Education Foundation Signet Scholarship. It is available to need-based students at Fogelman. The Tates engage with the Fogelman College through classroom lectures, internships fairs, and sitting on the internship fair panel and college advisory board.

“We stood out because we gave more than money," the Tates say. "We also gave more of ourselves, at least in their eyes.”

Elizabeth is a proud alumni of the University of Memphis. Consequently, they benefit through their engagement with the college. As a result, the Hall Of Fame induction was meaningful to them both. Signet earned the 30^th position under the Advertising Specialty Institute Counselor Best Places to Work award for 2018. Counselor conducted a survey and used a ranking system to honor the top industry workplaces for the year. Using the survey, ASI took note of the benefits & perks of working for Signet. Our Employees enjoy benefits like our low employee cost healthcare plan, paid time off, and a flexible work schedule. Also, we celebrate our employees’ birthdays monthly and have fun events all throughout the year!

Another perk is our open and airy office. Likewise, the employees love wearing jeans on Fridays. Above all, we can’t forget to mention our chief morale officer, Milo, a Husky/Malamute Mix who’s in charge of smiles, shedding, and food inspection! We are proud of our corporate culture. The Promotional Products Association International compiled a list of the 60 Greatest Companies To Work For among their members. Signet made the cut! They decided the honorees using a survey where employees rated their companies in five areas: benefits, resources, culture, leadership, and company direction. To be considered, each company had to be nominated. Furthermore, they had to submit a list of full-time employees to take the survey.

Promotional Products Business Editor Tina Berres Filipski says, “It’s a pretty rigorous process to earn a spot on this list and the companies that made it have a right to feel proud of their accomplishment—and we’re thrilled for them.” We’re thrilled too, Tina! Check out the article here.

Similarly, the Promotional Products Association of the Mid-South inducted  our fearless leaders Elizabeth and David Tate into the Hall of Fame! They were selected due to their outstanding impact to the industry.  Both Elizabeth and David are founding members of PeerNet and active in multiple boards across the industry and community.

PPAMS is an association of over 300 promotional products companies. Their supplier members come from virtually every state in the nation. Distributors are primarily from the Mid-South. They are governed by a 9 member Board of Directors.

Another recognition was Inside Memphis Business naming Elizabeth a Power Player for 2018! The Power Players are Inside Memphis Business’ annual list of Memphis heavy hitters in each industry. They recognized our CEO as one of the top business people in Memphis for Marketing and Public Relations. But here’s what’s crazy. She has been honored with this award annually since 2009!
